Hamakaze Shuri Doesn’t Hold Back Her Affection
The relationship between Shuri and I is that of a slave and her master.
However, our relationship is definitely different from like you’d imagine.
Oppression, being oppressed.
There’s none of that at all.
At first I’d just revived her so that I could make use of her, but now she’s a comrade that walks the same revenge-filled path as I do.
She and I had explored Rigal Den together.
When we did, I made a promise to Shuri.
I said that I would do any one thing she asked for.
What she asked for was an excessively adorable reward—to spend the entire day together.
There was no reason for me to refuse her, of course.
Heading to the royal palace, our feelings for each other deepening, enjoying the first date of my life, and finally heading back to the inn.
Which brings me to the present, with my head on her lap.
Yep. My head, her lap.
“Fufu, do you like it, Daichi?”
“Y-Yeah. It’s amazing.”
The heck did I just say?
My mind was going this way and that from this level of embarrassment, what’ll I do if it gets even worse?
To explain the order of events that lead to this, I’ll have to go back a bit.
◇ ◇ ◇
Utilizing the decree Ginger had proclaimed, we set up a strategy to take revenge on my classmates.
Each of us were recharging however we wished and passed the time however we wanted.
Leadred was polishing her war sword in the corner of the room.
I was drinking tea that Shuri brewed.
“How does it taste, Daichi?”
“It’s good, very good.”
To be honest, when it comes to tea, I can’t really discern how deep the taste is—I don’t even really know about the different kinds.
But since she put so much love into it, I’m certain it’s good.
At the very least, I could easily see how much effort she’d put into it with the smile lighting up her face.
“What should we do now?”
I put down the tea cup and looked to Shuri, pretending to be lost in thought.
The reason being that this was all part of that single request.
I thought that it would end with the date, but she decided to take her request the whole mile.
“Today’s the day you promised to spend entirely with me. So I want to do a ton of things with you, Daichi!”
She gave off a feeling of being—well, to be frank, happy.
I get that I’m not just doing all this for Shuri as some kind of calculated service.
But still, if I had to put it to words…
Doing all this stuff back to back to back to back, it’s draining.
That said, not following along’s also straight up impossible.
To say why, well, Shuri’s been so happy that her eyes have practically been sparkling.
I felt like I’d die of guilt if I betrayed her happiness.
A girl’s anticipations are weighty things.
Dangerous, high-risk high-reward things.
“Actually, Shuri, is there anything you want me to do for you, instead?”
“Yeah. I’m fresh out of ideas, so how about you come up with something?”
When I asked her, she just blushed and started to squirm, her face slowly reddening into a blush.
She looked at me with a certain heat in her eyes.
“… I want to, umm… do that… again…”
“Wait—I mean, isn’t the mood important or something?”
“… Daichi, you don’t want to?”
I swallowed back down what I really wanted to do… just barely.
Those puppy dog eyes are foul play!
With Shuri and I just gazing at each other, it felt like the mood was starting to go there.
However, that strangeness was sliced clean through by a snappish voice.
“… You guys forget I’m right here?”
“Eh—o-of course not, Leadred!”
Pfft, sure. I bet she totally forgot Leadred was even here.
Not like I’m one to talk though, I’d been caught up by the atmosphere too.
I managed to somehow escape disaster thanks to Leadred, but I’m still left with a huge issue here.
To be honest, I just want to hide in bed out of shame.
… How can I try changing the subject?
“I don’t really care about you two being all flirty, but at least have some modesty. Seriously.”
“And I have a suggestion to give, you up for hearing me out?”
“Yeah, what’s up?”
“You know what Shuri did for you back in the dungeon, Hero? Why not go for that again? She’ll probably get a kick out of it and I won’t have to deal with you two flirting so barfingly sweet.”
The moment Leadred said that, my head shot to Shuri out of a sense of desperation.
Seeing her reaction, I realized hearing Leadred out was a mistake.
I was too late.
◇ ◇ ◇
And here we are.
It may just be my personal opinion, but I think I can speak for all men in that being given a lap pillow is a dream among dreams.
I can’t even put it into words.
“Daichi? I don’t know why, but it feels like I’m only ever giving you lap pillows.”
“Strange. Same for me.”
“Do you dislike it?”
“… I didn’t say that.”
Responding with that, Shuri smiled once more.
She then began to stroke her hand through my hair.
“I’ll ask again… how do you like my lap pillow?”
Asked by her once more, let’s respond again—in my head this time.
That’d be how I could put it to words.
The moment I laid down my head, I felt like I was going to fall asleep. It was just that relieving.
The instant I entrusted the weight of my head to her lap, I felt my head sink into her thighs.
They were the perfect mix of springiness and supple tension, the sort of feeling that just exuded youth.
As well as a definite graceful affection.
However, I got the feeling that I’ll get charmed by her if I just say that as-is, so I chose my words carefully.
“It feels so good that I just feel like falling asleep.”
“I don’t mind if you fall asleep, you know?”
Shuri spoke, a mischievous smile playing at the corner of her lips.
When I tried to look her in the eyes, her beautiful hair tickled my face.
But most importantly, I received a shot that blew all of my exhaustion away.
They were getting closer!?
Her leaning forward was causing her bountiful fruits to approach me!
They’re getting closer!
They’re… so… powerful…!
“Sh-Shuri! Th-They’re getting too close!”
“Is that… so bad?”
“I noticed, you know. Daichi, whenever I give you a lap pillow, you always stare at my breasts.”
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about…”
A window would’ve been harder to see through than my lie.
I mean, I’m not exactly thinking straight here!
However, Shuri just kept smiling.
“You know… I don’t mind.”
“Don’t mind… what?”
Shuri brought her face closer—
“OH COME ON, didn’t I say to stop treating me like I’m not here!?”
Just before our lips met, Shuri fell over with a bang.
Behind her stood Leadred, who’d clearly just struck her with the side of her sword.
Seeing as how she put enough strength into the blow to knock her out, I felt a chill run down my back.
“Make sure you pay attention to where you are next time, yeah?”
“… Alright. I have no complaints, then.”
The devilish aura I swear I could feel forming into something behind Leadred disappearing, she went back to smiling.
Let’s hold back from doing that stuff with Shuri around her.
So I swore.
… I have no clue how long I can keep that up, though.
“Guess I’ll lay Shuri down in bed…?”
By the way, we threw caution to the wind and didn’t care about Leadred watching even after that, but that’s a story for another time.
