Musings — Shaken or Stirred?

Heya!

Thanks to everyone who’s commented wishing well for my grandma. Doctors said that her vitals seem normal (normal for the extreme amount of medical conditions she has, at least) and are unsure of what caused the pain. Didn’t get much sleep last night as I had to stay awake in case they told her they wouldn’t admit her and kick her out. She was admitted around 6AM this morning and will be staying there again overnight to be monitored, with a heart/stress test tomorrow in the morning. It wasn’t until around 7AM-ish before they called saying she was admitted for monitoring… Well, upside of that is that I finished that Receptionist-san SS and Omake chapter while I waited.

Have I mentioned how much I hate hospitals in this city? How much I have everything in Sacramento? Screw this place hard. They can just tell an elderly to ‘leave’ and boot them out even if they have no way home.

After that, I woke up late today (~2PM) and felt like crap (stress?), sat in the bathroom for nearly an hour before just laying back down till 5. Just got done running errands today, came back and yeah. Sorry, but right now I really don’t feel like translating Dragon’s Bloodline. I’ll figure something out to make things work out over the course of next week.

I just remembered I didn’t pick up my dog’s ashes. Mm…

Well then. Next: [The Omake Thing]! As you can see from the LDM Omake titles, a lot are themed to certain dates: Christmas, New Year’s Day, April Fool’s Day. There’s even one for the ‘One Year In’ mark of Keima being the Dungeon Master. I want to release Christmas, New Year’s Day, and One Year In on the appropriate dates (chapter for One Year In). So why didn’t I wait for April Fool’s? Well, honestly, there’s a few reasons:

  1. We would be over chapter 300 by then, assuming the series lasts that long, while the Omake was released around chapter 150.
  2. I didn’t want to wait.

Great reasons right? Well, for those wondering, One Year In looks to be the next Omake, released just after chapter 156, followed immediately by Rabbit Merchant & Tsuia Gatekeeper Omakes.

I might not make a Schedule post for next week. If I don’t, please trust that I won’t be skimping on chapters…

For now though, I’m going to go read something.

Hope everyone’s had a good day. Cya tomorrow.

  1. Hey. Of all the things to stress over in your life, don’t stress over releasing chapters. We’re all adults around here, we can cope with a little schedule slip.

Well, most of us, anyway… 😛

  2. Live updates or close to it not just telling what happen after in this case sorry i didn’t comment wishing her and you well. I dislike hospitals as well stress weakens your immune system I believe so if you can stay as relaxed as you can along with your grandmother so don’t translating anything or just anything annoying/hard.

  3. good to hear all is well. but as most said, dont worry about translations and relax and enjoy your days and keep down the stress, i know how bad stress can make you ill

  4. I’m glad things are going better for y ou! Even though I’m currently touring China, I can’t help but continue reading your translations! Have a good day too ! 😀

  5. I’m glad to see your grandmother has become better. After all that stress, don’t forget to rest well.

  6. Life keeps throwing shit at you from time to time, endure, stay strong, accept shit happens and move on when you need to. Well just a hint from someone who’s been dealing with depression since hi teens and also went through similiar sort of shit.

That said given how you threw in 6 chapters in a day to get over stress i have no doubt youg to strength not to go down. Hell I know i wouldn’t be able to do anything productive.
